Let’s dress the part.
Let’s Unleash Your Primal Soul!
Don’t underestimate the power of classic lingerie. A timeless black bra and panty set, a lace teddy, or a strappy bodysuit can be incredibly impactful—and they photograph beautifully. These foundational pieces allow your energy, emotion, and confidence to shine through. We always recommend bringing multiple options to your session so we can play with combinations and find what feels most like you. Think texture, color, and variety. Whether you’re drawn to sultry and dramatic or soft and romantic, having choices gives us room to craft a look that’s perfectly tailored to your style, your story, and your vision.
Most people think the more revealing the better. Thongs! But cheeky underwear actually adds shape to your bum and looks amazing on everyone. When in doubt, make cheeky the first choice. This doesn’t always apply to body suits, but in general, it’s a good rule to follow!
Don’t mess with the classics. There are hundreds of different styles of 2-piece lingerie out there. Feel free to get some color in your wardrobe. This is a great opportunity to explore and do it. You deserve this!
This is one of my favorite kinds of lingerie to photograph. Bodysuits and teddies are easily the most underrated lingerie there is. They are incredibly flattering on ALL body types. There are a million different designs for how it covers you and is more versatile than you would think. I have so many favorite examples that I couldn’t fit them on one page!
Playing between “being covered” and not hiding is a great look for your photoshoot! Sheer outfits are an amazing way to play with your style while still embracing your body!
Everything old is new again. High waisted bottoms were popular back in the 70s, but they look SO amazing in pictures! They have a way of slimming the stomach (and hiding it, if that’s a stressor) and the cheekie bottoms create an amazing curvature on your bum that will really highlight your assets.
Some of the most striking and soulful images come from outfits that break the mold. Don’t be afraid to bring pieces that reflect your personality in unexpected ways—distressed jeans, oversized sweaters, corsets, leather jackets, your partner’s button-down, or even a sleek cocktail dress. These pieces tell your story with edge, elegance, or comfort—sometimes all at once. A simple tee can be just as sexy as lace when worn with confidence. This is your session, your expression. Bring options that make you feel powerful, playful, or bold. We’ll help you turn the ordinary into something unforgettable.
Congrats on your wedding! A lot of people think bridal boudoir pictures means your veil is the focal point. Not true! There are so many different white pieces you can wear to get the bridal look without any of the cheesiness.
This is one of my favorites! It’s so versatile. The button up shirt has a feel of waking up late on a Sunday and tossing on a favorite shirt of your partner’s. It can be tame all the way buttoned up or spicy pulling it open, taking it off, or letting it lay so it just barely covers you.
Jeans are another one of those more everyday outfits that you can make sexy and suggestive by unzipping them in a photo or doing a picture with only the pants and no shirt on. Jeans can give you that “girl next door” vibe and is super playful.
Wearing a sports jersey in your boudoir session is the perfect way to blend playful confidence with personal flair. Whether it’s your favorite team, your partner’s jersey, or one that holds sentimental meaning, it adds a bold, sporty edge to your shoot. It’s unexpected, flirty, and full of attitude in the best way. Bring it, own it, and let’s make it unforgettable.
What ever happened to corsets? I get it, you can’t breathe in them, but WOW do they look amazing in photos! They are incredibly flattering on every body type and give a subtle roleplay vibe that can really add dimension to the mood of your shoot.
Stockings, heels, garter belt… they all add up to the same thing. I try to do at least one outfit ever session that is dressed to the nines. Feel free to get something outside of the standard black. Get something with a tiny pattern on it or something with a design over the thigh. Be careful to size appropriately – if you get a set too small, they can squeeze your thighs and struggle to stay up where they’re meant to be.
Nine out of ten women have no idea how to put these on. This is pretty similar to groomsmen trying to put on a tie at their friend’s wedding. Don’t worry! We can help! When garter belts are paired with stockings and heels, they can add a few inches to your legs and make you look longer/taller.
This is what we most commonly start off shoots with because it is playful and suggestive at the same time. It gives your hands something to do, too! There is something about pulling cloths in all different directions that is so sexy.
I love to start photoshoots in a cocktail dress because it can tell a story of the first part of a date. When the page turns and you are unzipping or sliding it off – it’s a beautiful suggestion for what we can expect in the next pages! It’s also a great way to ease into the shoot if the idea of shooting in lingerie still intimidates you (which is usually the case!)
This is another casual option to start off your shoot with. There are a million poses you can do with a t-shirt! A shot of you taking it off makes an amazing transition to show your next outfit on the following page of your album.
Some people really love lacy lingerie, some really love casual Friday looks and some love BOTH. The crop top can do wonders for your shape and it is so suggestive. Play around with ones that are loose, tight, cut out in the back, and various lengths. I think you’ll find something you really like!
Nothing beats the end of a session like a trip to the shower. A wet t-shirt, tank top, or crop top is a “leave a little to the imagination” way to finish up your photoshoot!
It can be hard to style an outfit that isn’t just a bra and panties. Robes can give the idea of lounging around the house. They can be playful by slipping off the shoulders or worn without a bra underneath to add something more for the imagination.
This is such a favorite of so many women because it is the ultimate “leave a little to the imagination” option. You can appear completely naked while revealing less than most pictures in typical lingerie. The white sheet is usually the final “outfit” and it ends your album with a bang!
There is something so beautiful and freeing about moving in your own skin. Nothing to hide from, nothing to be ashamed of. Just you and your body. About 75% of women get a nude photo at some point in their shoot, and these shots usually end up being their favorites.
Never underestimate the power of the little details. Accessories add depth, drama, and personality to your session. Think bold earrings, layered necklaces, a bridal bouquet, thigh-high boots, strappy heels, or even a favorite pair of glasses—they all help tell your story. Love a touch of playfulness? Bring a cowboy hat, a riding crop, or something cheeky that speaks to your wild side. Whether it’s a sentimental piece of jewelry or a sultry prop you’ve always wanted to try, these items help elevate your look and bring your vision to life. This is your moment to shine—accessorize accordingly.
A classic. Heels do so many things. They make your legs look longer, tone your calves, help your posture, and add an extra layer of sex appeal to almost any lingerie outfit. Even if casual is your thing, I still recommend bringing at least one pair.
Boots are like the sexy step sister to heels. So fun and so playful! You can wear this with a dress or lingerie. Sexy poses with boots include pulling them on (like you’re getting ready to go out) or they can be just an edgy way to accessorize your images!
Glasses are a fun little accessory. Nerds are sexy and it can be a fun character to jump into for a few photos.
I believe that YOU are the most important thing in these photos and too many accessories can be a distraction. This is why you won’t see many images from me that incorporate clunky or overpowering pieces. That said, some things can really bring an outfit together. Feel free to bring necklaces, bracelets or body jewelry you think would add to your images.
The garter is the perfect accessory to match with your bridal lingerie. They are going to be slipping it off with their teeth come wedding day, so it’s a playful hint at what’s to come!
Ready to spice things up? Leather straps have such a fierce character to them. They are powerful, edgy, and really stand out. This is definitely the outfit if you want to show your power.
Not all boudoir is sunshine and cute lingerie. Sometimes you want to add some edge. Feel free to bring some cuffs, a riding crop, collars, blindfolds, your favorite toy, or any other fun sexy props you’d like to capture!
Here are just a few of the best places to find amazing outfits and lingerie for your upcoming photoshoot!

This online boutique has pretty everything you can imagine. The quality is a little lower, but this budget friendly option still photographs beautifully.
If you never had a real bra fitting, Nordstrom’s is known for having an incredibly knowledgeable staff. Any client of mine who has shopped there has been glad they did.
Another of my favorites! For Love and Lemons offers a very elegant and unique selection. You will easily find pieces that are just to die for!
Honey Birdette is known for being one of the sexiest boutiques in the industry. They’re easily one of the higher end lingerie sources out there. They also have shops where you can see pieces in person.
