Classic and timeless.
Lace and thigh-high stockings are a favorite for a reason. The texture of lace adds real visual depth against skin, and stockings create a long, clean line down the leg. A matching set pulls the whole look together without needing anything else.
A well-fitted bodysuit or teddy does something different, one continuous, sleek line rather than separate pieces.
It works well across a wide range of styles, from something delicate in lace to something bolder in mesh, and it photographs cleanly because there’s nothing broken up about the silhouette.
A bustier or corset brings real structure. The shaping is built in, so it does a lot of the visual work on its own, waist definition, an old-Hollywood sense of polish, without needing much else around it. If your stomach is an area you think about more than others, high-waisted bottoms create a smooth line at the waist, one less thing to worry about on the day.
